Frequently asked questions
How much does Campsite Tonight cost?
Campsite Tonight is free to download and search. Premium, which adds cancellation alerts and automatic add-to-cart, costs $30 per month or $60 per year (about $5 a month).
Is there a free version of Campsite Tonight?
Yes. The free plan searches Recreation.gov, state park and county reservation systems at once for sites available up to 14 days out, with most filters. Premium adds cancellation alerts, automatic add-to-cart, and search up to 120 days ahead.
How does Campsite Tonight monitor campgrounds for cancellations?
You pick a campground and dates in the app. Campsite Tonight then checks that campground’s reservation system around the clock — as fast as about every 20 seconds at popular campgrounds — and the moment a matching site is cancelled it alerts you and, on supported systems, adds the site to your cart.
Does Campsite Tonight book the campsite for me?
It adds the open site to your reservation cart and notifies you; you review it and complete checkout and payment yourself on the official reservation site. Campsite reservation fees are paid to the park system, not to Campsite Tonight.
Where does automatic add-to-cart work?
Recreation.gov (national parks, national forests and other federal lands), state park systems in 26 US states, and in Canada British Columbia, Manitoba, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia and Parks Canada. Other systems, including California state parks, get real-time cancellation alerts.
Is there a free trial?
There is no free trial, but the free plan lets you search every system before you upgrade. Premium is billed through the App Store or Google Play, and you can cancel any time from your store subscription settings.
